Why is there sometimes a difference between Content Inventory and Content Report grades?
We want you to feel confident about the content grade accuracy you see for your published content as well as what you’re actively refreshing.
When you add a page to the Content Inventory, Clearscope automatically retrieves the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) for the monitored queries you entered and grades your content against each query individually. This is why you see a content grade next to each monitored query.
Subsequently, Clearscope performs daily regrading of the content against the original SERP when you added the page in Content Inventory. The grading remains unchanged unless modifications are made to the content on the published page.
Clearscope will fetch an updated SERP for each query 30 days after the initial grading and then reevaluates your content against this latest SERP. This process repeats unless you delete the page from your Content Inventory.
In the meantime, if you generate a Content Report to grade the page against the query, the grade might be different as the SERP may have changed. Content Reports are a snapshot of the SERP the moment you created the Clearscope analysis.
