How do I use the WordPress plugin?
This guide walks you through how to bring Clearscope functionality and recommendations into your WordPress content management system (CMS).
What you need for Clearscope’s WordPress plugin:
1. WordPress version 5.0 or above
2. Admin access to your WordPress install
3. A shared Clearscope Draft link
4. Desktop browser
Where do I install the WordPress plugin?
Visit the Plugins section of your WordPress CMS and click the "Add New" button. Search for "Clearscope" in the "Add Plugins" screen and select the "Install Now" button. Once the plugin is finished installing, click "Activate".
Note: You need to be on a desktop browser for this page to load and the plugin to work.
How do I start using the Clearscope plugin on a WordPress post?
You can use the Clearscope plugin for the WordPress Classic and Gutenberg Editors. Here are instructions for each editor.
Classic Editor
1. Find the Clearscope plugin by scrolling to the bottom of your post
2. If desired, move the Clearscope plugin to the right-hand bar by clicking near the top of the plugin and dragging to the right
Gutenberg Editor
1. Find the Clearscope plugin in the top right-hand corner of your WordPress editor
2. Click on the Clearscope icon ("C" button) to load the plugin on the right-hand side
3. Next, find the Draft on your Clearscope account you want to use on your WordPress post. Copy the shared Draft link and paste the URL into the WordPress plugin.
4. Link your Draft to the WordPress post by clicking the "Link report" button. This will load Clearscope functionality into WordPress.
